A list of the world’s best beaches has many praying for summer to come back, and others are hoping to save enough money to explore these exotic places. According to most travel experts, the top three most beautiful beaches in the world are in Seychelles followed by Hawaii and in the Philippines.
A list of the world’s best beaches has been revealed, and according to travel experts, they took into account not only how stunning the sand and the sunsets are, but also how blue the oceans are. Additionally, they asked some tough questions like – is that beach easily accessed? Is it affordable? Do visitors like it?
After all these criteria were taken into account, and the votes were tallied, the title of world’s best beach went to Republic of Seychelles’ Anse Lazio beach that is located on Praslin Island. According to experts, here is a partial list of the world’s best beaches:
1. Anse Lazio, Praslin, Seychelles
Anse Lazio is a beach situated in the northwest of Praslin Island, Seychelles – it is also considered the best beach in Seychelles beating La Digue and Mahe. The beach is bordered by large granite boulders and contributes to the archipelago getting the nickname of Paradise on earth. According to visitors, the beach is enormous yet not often crowded, and its is ideal for couples and families with children. One visitor wrote:
I have been to many beaches but anse lazio tops in the list of most beautiful beaches around the world. The scenic beauty and the shores are beautiful clean. if planning for seychelles spent a day there. worth every penny.
2. Waipio Valley Beach, Big Island, Hawaii
While no beaches in Florida nor California made it on the list, the Waipio Valley Beach in Hawaii took the second spot. The honest truth is that, visitors must be ready to either hike or drive down a very narrow and steep road to reach their destination. However, everyone agrees, it is well worth it – because of the countless waterfalls, the out of this world black volcanic sand and the perfect waves for surfing. A visitor explained:
It was a long drive from the west coast but it was an absolutely stunning scene to see. One of the most beautiful views on the planet.
3. El Nido, Palawan, Philippines
Located about 420 kilometers (260 miles) southwest of Manila, El Nido is known for having the best beach and island destination in the Philippines thanks to its “extraordinary natural splendor and ecosystem.” There are 50 white sand beaches in El Nido with Palawan being the most spectacular of them all. The beaches are surrounded by five types of forest, which are home to 16 endemic and 10 threatened species of birds (including the Palawan hornbill, the Palawan shama, the Palawan tit, Palawan scops owl, and the Palawan peacock pheasant). The beaches are populated by dolphins and several species of endangered marine turtles, 100 species of corals along with 813 species of fish. A reviewer shared:
… best location in the region – with great snorkelling and diving right on the doorstep. The huge (friendly) fish just off the pier are amazing.
4.Matira Beach, Bora Bora, French Polynesia
Matira is not only the best beach on Bora; it is one of the only ones that is free. The public beach has over a mile of amazing white sand, a stunning lagoon, endless palms and tropical foliage. A recent visitor confessed:
Love the long white sandy beach, the crystal blue clear and clean lagoon waters of Matira or BoraBora in general. Nice place to spend the whole day at the beach with family; eating, swimming and sun bathing.
Another added:
A nice almost empty beach with great water, a lot of space, pretty close to some of the Hotels. Shower, toilets.
5.Rendezvous Bay, Anguilla
This tiny island of 35 square miles, someway, somehow, has over 33 stunning beaches (Shoal Bay, Little Bay Crocus Bay), and over twelve miles of beautiful white powder sand. At Rendezvous Bay, beachgoers can find plenty of spots to lay down a towel, swim in calm waves, or snorkel in clear waters, and enjoy a stroll to nearby beach bars. It is worth noting that all of Anguilla’s’ beaches are public, uncrowded and unspoiled. One person stated:
“Many Caribbean islands would be grateful for just one of Anguilla’s estimated 33 powder-white beaches.”
A second added:
“I spent an entire day at Rendezvous Bay after landing on the island of Saint Martin. The view from the beach includes several other islands and the classic Caribbean scenery. There were lost of restaurants and bars right next door. It was one the most peaceful beaches I had ever been to, one more thing, the people of Anguilla are some friendly and helpful.”
