The World Cup schedule unveiled by FIFA showed that there will be a total of 64 games taking place in Brazil.
The 2014 World Cup began on June 12 with a spectacular opening ceremony where over 600 Brazilian artist performed.
The show rapidly gave way to the first match of the tournament between Brazil and Croatia.
The hosting country won the match midst a very controversial call by Japanese referee Yuichi Nishimura.
With the first match behind us, let us look ahead at the month-long competition where 32 countries divided into 8 groups will fight for the ultimate prize given by the International Federation of Association Football.
For the fans watching the World Cup on television – ABC and ESPN are the networks with almost all of the games.
ABC will air 10 games while ESPN will have 43 games with comments from Landon Donovan who will have a lot to say about the fact that Team USA is in the death group and will struggle this time to survive rivals like Germany and Portugal.
For those tuning to radio to listen to the action ESPN Radio will air all 64 games.
As for the Spanish speaking soccer lover, Univision, UniMás, Univision Deportes and Galavision will air a majority of the matches including the finale which will be between Brazil (if referees continue to be so kind to the hosting country) and an unknown European country on July 13th.
Below is the world cup schedule of the 64 matches along with the dates, time and TV listings.
