Witches Of East End canceled after two short seasons. In a statement issued by Lifetime, it was revealed that due to poor ratings and reviews, Witches Of East End has ended.
Witches Of East End starred Jenna Dewan Tatum, Rachel Boston, Julia Ormond and Madchen Amick.
The supernatural drama ended last month on many cliffhangers, which will never be solved. Season 2 of Witches Of East End concluded with Ingrid (Boston) learning that she was pregnant, but fans have no idea who the father is.
Frederick was murdered, while Dash (Eric Winter) switched bodies with Killian (Daniel Di Tomasso) and Wendy (Amick) finally met her estranged sister.
Dewan Tatum, who was not thrilled with the way the show ended, said:
“I think it’ll be fans in a frenzy [after the Season 2 finale], not gonna lie.In good ‘Witches’ fashion, there are a few new storylines that are opened up that you just have to see how they’re resolved.”
Dewan Tatum, spent much of the past week flooding Twitter with hundreds of tweets and retweets featuring the hashtag “#RenewWitchesOfEastEnd.” One fan showed support by tweeting:
“I just watched a marathon and I really want to know the father of Ingrid’s baby. Everybody wants a season 3!”
Another one added:
“#WitchesofEastEnd is being released on DVD in Australia on December 10. 1 day after my bday. Please #RenewWitchesOfEastEnd.”
In the actress last tweet about the series, she wrote:
“It’s midnight! The witching hour is here! Who wants Season 3?!? Midnight tweeting party!”
But despite the star’s and the fans’ push, the network decided to dump the show. Boston who was fighting to keep the show alive, eventually told the fans goodbye:
“Thank you to everyone who went on this extraordinary journey with us. Your love, kindness, and support is forever magic. #WitchesofEastEnd”
