Wes Scantlin, 43, is making headlines for a very strange reason. Mr. Scantlin, the frontman of Puddle of Mudd, went on a bizarre rant while on stage, and he claimed that a person in the audience had stolen his California mansion.
Ohio fans of Puddle of Mudd had an earful at a recent concert when the group’s lead singer Wes Scantlin went on an epic rant about his home.
On January 30, concert-goers gathered at the Adelphia Music Hall in Marietta, Ohio for a show and instead of music and singing they heard Scantlin insulting a fan. According to people at the event, Scantlin, who might have been drunk or high, possibly both, first started talking gibberish and later gave weird riddles. He eventually lashed out at a man in the front row because he had stolen his house.
The Puddle of Mudd singer said:
“Motherf–ker right here stole my motherf–king house and now he’s standing right fucking in front of me laughing at me. And he f–king figures I’m a f–king joke. This motherf–ker right here. This motherf–ker right here. Get his ass on camera. Right. Get his ass on camera. Get his ass on camera. This is the dog. Right here. This is the motherf–ker right here. This guy stole my f–king house.”
After the rant, Scantlin put his jacket on and walked off stage, abruptly ending the show for the night. The venue apologized to the audience in attendance with a Facebook post (read below) and offered to issue a ticket to any upcoming show of their choice.
In late 2015, Scantlin lost his Hollywood Hills home after it went into foreclosure and on January 10, 2016, he was arrested for vandalizing the estate – he apparently smashed a window to get in after the locks were changed.
Scantlin, who was squatting at the home, was charged with felony vandalism – he caused more than $7,000 in damage to the Hollywood Hills mansion. The “Poke Out My Eyes” singer has had so many run-ins with the law that it is hard to keep up.
On December 26, 2015, he was arrested in Beverly Hills for drugs and drunk driving, six months prior, he was cuffed in South Dakota for driving under the influence
What are your thoughts on Wes Scantlin’s behavior?
Thank you everyone who attended tonight's show!We apologize for the actions of the lead singer. Unfortunately it was…

This band got killed by 9/11/01. They had that great song, ” When the bodies hit the floor”. It just didn’t fit the National mood after that day….
