Tim McGraw says being normal as possible, is one of the reasons his marriage with Faith Hill has lasted so long. The two country music superstars have been married since 1996.
The “Southern Girl” singer released his thirteenth studio album Sundown Heaven Town on September 16. The new release is expected to debut at number 3 on the US album chart next week with close to 70K units sold in seven days. Sundown Heaven Town was well received by critics who say that McGraw was able to try new things while remaining true to his roots. The singer said with the new album, he was more in control of his art. The release is both about where he has been in his career and where he would like to go next. After 20 years in the game, McGraw still seems hungry for more chart toppers and accolades. At 47, he is still grinding like he is 22.
This drive is really visible when he is making the rounds of media outlets to push his product. Interesting element, whenever the Louisiana native is out talking to the press and promoting something new, his marriage with Faith Hill always ends up being mentioned at some point. People either want to know if those pesky divorce rumors are true or if McGraw can share secrets regarding the longevity of their couple.
After 18 years of marriage, three children, the two singers still look pretty strong as a couple in an industry where unions sometimes last less than three months. So, what makes these two successful individuals stay together?
According to an interview with E! News, Tim McGraw says being normal as possible is the main answer. The “One of Those Nights” artist explained:
“I think, for us, being as normal as possible and raising our family and being in a family situation as much as possible…Certainly it’s different because of what we both do, but we try to keep it as much of a family environment that we can.”
McGraw said that leaving work at work also contributed to the couple finding the right balance, he added:
“And most of the time…we try to make that the priority and the primary time that we spend. For us, we leave the front doors when we go to work, but when we’re home, we don’t talk about none of the music that much…It’s a whole different world.”
Those comments were very refreshing and easy to understand. Do you think Faith Hill and Tim McGraw are normal as possible?
