Teresa Giudice is selling her NJ House as the sentencing in the fraud case gets closer. Teresa and husband Joe Giudice have put their New Jersey home up for sale for the small asking price of $3.99M.

Teresa and Joe Giudice are selling the mansion that they have been using since reality television series The Real Housewives of New Jersey launched in 2009.

The couple that will face the justice system on October 2, the sentencing in the massive fraud case was originally scheduled for September 23rd.

Her lawyer, Miles Feinstein argued that this is something pretty common (the court date was also postponed following the death of Joe’s father.)

The home in question is located Towaco, N.J. and it was purchased by the couple in 2002 for $530,000.

Mr and Mrs Giudice spent more than six years, renovating and adding to the NJ mansion before moving in with their kids.

When the duo got their hands on the piece of real estate it was 5,000 sq. ft, when construction was completed in 2008 it was more than 10,000 sq. ft.

The luxury home, which is listed for $3.99 million was built in 1975 and sits on a 3.68 acres lot.

The beautiful pad, which was featured on Real Housewives of New Jersey includes a stunning architecture and modern decor fit for a king and queen.

According to The Inquisitr:

Teresa Giudice selling her NJ house is not that surprising, mainly because she has made mention of moving on the current season of RHONJ. Teresa has filmed a lot of emotional moments for RHONJ. On Sunday night, the first episode of real Giudice drama aired. Bravo filmed the couple going to court and aired Teresa’s statement read by her attorney.

So, why are Joe and Teresa Giudice selling the NJ house?

According to an insider, while the mansion is gorgeous and spacious it is full of bad memories for the troubled family.

The source explained that the reality stars are looking for something smaller that is “apparently less entertaining and more family.”

But many believe that the real reason Teresa and Joe Giudice are downgrading is because they need the money.

It is being speculated that when Teresa and Joe Giudice face the federal district judge Esther Salas at the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey sitting in Newark, next month, it is believed Joe will be sentenced between 37 and 46 months in jail while Teresa could get 21 to 27 months.

But a source close to the Giudices said that Joe will be behind bars for couple of years while Teresa will be on probation.

Teresa Giudice is most likely selling her NJ house in order to pay their massive debt and lawyer fees that are piling up.
