Taylor Swift is not looking and is not lonely, according to a new interview published in British Cosmopolitan. Miss Swift who has dated several big names in the past, has revealed that she is happy being independent.
In the December 2014 issue of British Cosmopolitan, Taylor Swift stated that she is not looking for love and she is not lonely. Swift is finally happy being single.
Miss Swift whose long list of ex-boyfriends includes, John Mayer, Harry Styles, Conor Kennedy, Taylor Lautner and Brandon Borello revealed that many of her friends have been trying to set her up.
The “Should’ve Said No” singer confessed that she is happy being independent. Here is what Swift had to say about why she is not in a rush to date at the moment:
“People will say, let me set you up with someone, and I’m just sitting there saying, ‘That’s not what I’m doing. I’m not lonely; I’m not looking.’ They just don’t get it. I’ve learned that just because someone is cute and wants to date you, that’s not a reason to sacrifice your independence and allow everyone to say whatever they want about you. I’m not doing that anymore.”
The 24-year-old singer-songwriter went on to reveal that she has adopted a new philosophy in life, be happy without love. The “Picture to Burn” artist said:
“It’d take someone really special for me to undergo the circumstances I have to go through to experience a date. I don’t know how I would ever have another person in my world trying to have a relationship with me, or a family. The best answer I can come up with now is ‘go at it alone. Life can be romantic without having a romance. I’m very attracted to how happy I am now.”
