Taylor Swift Fall: The ‘Fall’ That Was A Slip Goes Viral

A Taylor Swift fall has gone viral. Taylor Swift, who was brave enough to face the cold in New York, performed during the Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest 2015 special. After belting her mega hit, “Shake It Off,” Swift took the stairs and while waving at fans, she almost fell, but was saved by a bodyguard.

Last night, Taylor Swift, was one of the only artists, brave, and bold enough to perform in New York City during the annual Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest 2015 special. (When will ABC shrink the title of that special?)

Wearing a pair of glittery tuxedo pants, crop top, and a very shinny blazer, Miss Taylor Swift stormed Times Square where she performed her big hit “Shake It Off.”

“Shake It Off,” which was written by Taylor Swift, Max Martin and Shellback, was featured on her fifth studio album, 1989, landed number one on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.

At some point during the performance, Swift removed her shimmering silver jacket and yelled:

“I know in 2014 there was something that got under your skin. It really bothered you. Now is the time, New York City. I want to see you shake it off!.”

Swift also sang “Welcome to New York,” which pleased the crowd standing in the freezing cold for hours. During the two performances, Swift was accompanied by a live band, and several back-up singers.

Many of her fans were disappointed that she did not have her army of male and female dancers at the special like at the 2014 MTV Video Music Awards.

At the end of her set, Taylor Swift thanked the audience and attempted to descend the steps located at the side of the stage. Swift, who was escorted by two bodyguards, was seen smiling and waving at the people, when she missed her footing and stumbled down several steps.

Swift rapidly recovered herself by clinging onto the railing. She was also helped back up by one of her bodyguards. Moments after the fall, Taylor Swift most likely told herself, “Shake It Off,” and she returned to the stage where she took part in the New Year’s countdown with Ryan Seacrest.

Upon realizing that Swift was trembling because of the cold weather, Seacrest removed his coat, and gave it to the singer. A video of the Taylor Swift fall has gone viral with most of her fans saying, leave her alone, while few foes claimed that she was drunk and that is why she slipped.
