Tanya Gonzalez body was found in the trunk of her BMW. It is believed that Gonzalez was killed by her abusive boyfriend Roy Blanco who hid her body in the vehicle. Blanco committed suicide by stabbing himself.
Tanya Gonzalez’s body has been found according to her family and the Miami-Dade County Medical Examiner’s Office.
Gonzalez went missing on September 9th, after shopping at a Miami, Florida mall with her aunt. The aunt and niece duo left the mall in separate cars and Gonzalez was never seen alive again.
Miami police were quick to name the woman’s ex-boyfriend, Roy Blanco as a person of interest in her disappearance after family and friends revealed that he often abused her and had threatened to kill her.
On Monday, Gonzalez’s former partner was spotted in a car with his mother Marta Blanco-Mendoza and his dog heading to Coconut Grove marina in Miami. Blanco rented a boat and attempted to flee with Marta Blanco-Mendoza and his pet, but his boat ran out of fuel near the Key West coast.
A good Samaritan rescued the pair, their dog and brought them back to shore. An unnamed person who spotted Blanco called the police and when they attempted to arrest him, he stabbed himself in the stomach with a knife.
Blanco’s mother also tried to commit suicide by swallowing a handful of painkillers. The mother and son pair was taken to a nearby hospital where Blanco died.
Blanco-Mendoza is still in the hospital. On Tuesday morning, Tanya Gonzalez’s body was found in her BMW, which was parked near the home of her ex-boyfriend.
The body was badly decomposed, according to reports. Tanya Gonzalez’s father Ramon Gonzalez said that during the five years, his daughter lived with Blanco, he physically and verbally abused her on a regular basis.
Few months ago, she found the courage to leave him and had started dating another man.
Blanco who was controlling and jealous had publicly threatened to kill Gonzalez and he succeeded.
