Could Tamron Hall be working with Kelly Ripa?
Fans of LIVE! are counting down days for Mrs. Ripa to reveal her new co-host and there is a possibility that it might be Miss Hall, according to several sources.
Ripa recently sat down with Stephen Colbert on The Late Show where she revealed that she was still actively searching for a co-host one year since Michael Strahan abruptly left the show.
Around that same time rumors were swirling that Hall was being pushed by a top television executive to get in touch with ABC and Ripa to land the gig.
Hall, who is very active on social media, never commented on the story. Instead, she told her fans that she is set to make a big announcement in the upcoming days and went on to confirm that she will be returning to TV very soon.
Hall, a respected journalist, who was one the first to interview Barack Obama when he was a little-known politician from Illinois, was demoted from the TODAY show to make way for Megyn Kelly – the newest NBC hire who will apparently save the failing morning lineup.
All point to Hall being the new LIVE! co-anchor because Ripa explained that she would love to work with a woman in a new interview.
She revealed: “From my perspective, I like to get as many different people, men and women, in the chair as possible. Just because you never know who you are going to hit it off with.”
The former All My Children actress went on to say: “Some of the people I have hit it off with the best have been women, which is not unusual for me. I am a girls’ girl. I like the dynamic of that.”
It was also being claimed that Mr. Strahan was hoping to return to LIVE! after a fight with his Good Morning America co-host Robin Roberts.
