Susan Sarandon and her boyfriend are back together again. Jonathan Bricklin, 37, and Susan Sarandon, 68, who parted ways few months ago, have rekindled their romance and were seen strolling and visiting a gallery in New York.
Atlantic City actress Susan Sarandon and her boyfriend, Jonathan Bricklin, are reunited, and it feels so good. The 68-year-old movie star and her 37-year-old boyfriend, who split earlier this year, have worked out their issues for now, but experts warned that a May-December romance like Sarandon and Bricklin’s might be doomed from the start.
The experts at Dating With Dignity say:
“The problem, can be that an older woman is simply a challenge for the younger man. And since it’s likely he’s in a different stage of his life (just beginning to establish his career, getting to know himself, and possibly not yet ready to make a long-term commitment) and you’re beyond that point, it can be a dealbreaker for a potential relationship.”
Jonathan Bricklin, the son of automobile entrepreneur and billionaire Malcolm Bricklin, began dating Susan Sarandon after getting acquainted on a road trip to Chile in early 2010. Sarandon had split from Tim Robbins in 2009 after 23 years together.
Susan Sarandon and Jonathan Bricklin were so in love that they opened a business together, the SPiN ping-pong lounges, in the Big Apple. Back then, Susan Sarandon appeared in a series of sensual photos in Porter magazine with her boyfriend and talked about their unique relationship. Sarandon shared:
“I don’t think he would describe us as a couple. We don’t live together. I don’t know what you would call that. That’s kind of what is so great about it. It’s a work in progress, I guess you would say.”
She later added:
“It’s the soul of a person that interests me. When you are in love, the question of age, sex, color no longer hold any importance.”
The duo and several other people went on to be featured in an AOL series called Connected. The show documented their life over six months, and it appeared that the reality series took a toll on their romance and in March of 2015, multiple sources confirmed that the pair had broken up.
The businessman rushed to release a confusing statement that revealed that the show was not the cause of the separation. Mr. Bricklin claimed:
“Susan and I have a lot of respect and great admiration for each other.It’s impossible to concisely characterize our relationship, other than to say that it continues to evolve in new and unexpected ways. She supported my decision to be a part of AOL’s Connected, and making this series about my life has brought up real and somewhat unexplored issues, but it didn’t break us up.”
On June 7, Susan Sarandon and Jonathan Bricklin were seen looking more in love than ever. The duo was photographed as they toured an art gallery looking for paintings. A person in the gallery revealed to the media that Sarandon introduced Bricklin as her boyfriend, and they were very “handsy and touchy” with each other.
Another insider said, that even when they were apart, they kept in contact and often hooked up.
