The former leader of Girl’s Day, who often wept on the show, had the following to say about her dad’s disapproval of her decision to be an entertainer:
“I should make a debut as soon as possible, so that I can show my dad that this is a wonderful job.”
She also shared:
“My motto is to live happily. All the pains and difficulties I went through are remembered as happy moments as time passed. Once things pass, they no longer seem serious. So I try to enjoy my life even when I feel painful.”
With the headline “Sojin suicide” trending on social media, DSP Media, a local entertainment agency, was forced to confirm the death of Sojin in a statement that read:
“We suddenly heard of this unfortunate news today. It is so unfortunate. We will do everything we can to help her family.”
It is being reported that Sojin was fired by DSP Media in January and she was not expected to join the label’s upcoming girl group, April. The termination of her contract, the lack of family support made her depressed and pushed her to commit suicide, according to insiders.
Sojin’s suicide has shocked an entire country, her fans hope to keep her memory alive. What are your thoughts on this tragedy?
I loved watching Sojin on Baby Kara. She was and is my bias for life. Sojin will be missed and my prayers go out to her family and friends. May she forever rest in peace.
she was a very talented young lady and I am sorry she commented suicide. Please remember when one door close’s a window always open, a window of something new. So be patient and wait, it will change, always, but it doesn’t mean it over. RIP

It’s always so tragic when a young life so full of promise is snuffed out like Sojin’s has been, by her own hand. Her whole life ahead of her, & she just couldn’t see it was worthwhile to continue living…?
Her family is no doubt devastated, & to them go my condolences. May this beautiful young woman RIP.
