Selena Gomez is talking about her bad hair days by saying that a scrunchie is a girl’s best friend. Miss Gomez, who is the newest paid spokesperson for Pantene, also confessed that it took her a long time to master the flat-iron, which led to some serious hair damage.
Like all women on this planet, Selena Gomez has had few bad hair days and now that she has found ways to resolve the matter, she has decided to share them. We say all women, but Kate Middleton and Michelle Obama should be removed from that list.
In June of this year, Pantene Pro-V formerly known as Pantene Pro-Vitamin named Selena Gomez as their newest spokesperson, she is following in the footsteps of Kelly LeBrock and Iman.
The brand of hair care products owned by Procter & Gamble was created in Europe in 1945 by Hoffmann-La Roche of Switzerland and it “branded the name based on panthenol as a shampoo ingredient,” and used the controversial motto “Don’t hate me because I’m beautiful” during their first ad campaign in the 1980s.
In a lengthy interview with ET, Miss Gomez explained that she is staying away from the old catch phrase and is happy to be with the brand because she has been using their products all of her life.
The actress and singer said that she is pleased with the message that the company is promoting at the moment, which is strong is beautiful, and revealed that it is fun to push their products because they work, and she loves being treated like a princess by getting her locks cared for by top hair experts.
Justin Bieber‘s on-and-off girlfriend also opened up about her bad hair days and blamed them on not knowing how to use the flat iron, which ultimately damaged it and said the solution is Pantene Pro-V Anti-Breakage Shampoo.
Despite being a famous child actor, Gomez used to flat iron her hair by herself, and it led to hair breakage and hair loss. She shared:
“My biggest hair mistake is when I was younger and I was figuring out how to use a flat-iron. I used to think that just because visually I could see that this hair was straight that the back didn’t necessarily have to be straight, so for the entire 6th grade I only straightened the front of my hair. That wasn’t really my proudest moment.”
Asked to reveal what is her favorite accessory, she gave a surprising answer, a simple scrunchie. The Princess Protection Program actress revealed that dry shampoo is a miracle product and added:
“I know it’s kind of old school but it’s really cute when you put your hair up and you let a few pieces come down. It’s nice. Dry shampoo..I think it’s awesome.”
Many of her fans are happy to see her representing the company, while few are unhappy that Selena Gomez is wearing hair extensions in her new ad.
