Sean Hannity worst host on Fox News? An end of the year poll conducted by media industry website, Mediaite, suggests that the host of FNC’s Hannity is the worst host on the right-leaning cable news network.
The “Sean Hannity worst host” story has gone viral, sparking an intense debate between left, right, and center. Most commentators seem to think that the survey is pretty close to the truth, but the controversial cable news star has a strong following that is defending him with a lot of zeal.
Few days ago, Mediaite, a media blog founded by ABC legal analyst Dan Abrams, published the results of a survey that was trying to find the Best and Worst hosts on cable news.
The people, who voted in the poll, are all cable news hosts, which means; these are insiders grading the performance of their colleagues. The survey was conducted in an anonymous way.
Not surprisingly, Megyn Kelly, the host of The Kelly File, and Bret Baier, the host of Special Report, were voted the Best Hosts on the Fox News Channel. Kelly and Baier are often praised for bringing more nuance to the lineup of their network.
Sean Hannity was not so lucky, he was voted the Worst Host on Fox News. Hannity has never been popular with people in his industry, but to his supporters, he gives a voice to the average conservative.
The “Sean Hannity worst host” drama unfolded on social media, where the controversial media personality shared his thoughts on the survey. He posted the following on Twitter:

Some in the media landscape were quick to label Hannity’s reaction, a meltdown. His supporters disagree and find that he handled the matter very well by bringing attention to more important issues like the murder of two NYPD police officers. In an exchange with editors at Mediaite, Hannity wrote:

Andrew Kirell, editor-in-chief of Mediaite, said a “vein-popping rage” was expressed by Hannity in his use of all-caps. The 52-year-old TV host concluded by saying that he was just having fun and was not expressing any anger. He shared:

Why I am not surprised that someone that is a fan of Sean Hannity is also NOT a fan of the one black guest that frequents his show…Coincidence—I think not.

Sean Hannity is one of the best Host not only on Fox News but also on his radio program. He is not afraid to approach any topic and gives the facts for both sides, allowing his audience to reach their own decisions. When he gives his opinion on a subject he makes it very clear to the audience it is his opinion. I believe his colleagues have an extreme case of jealousy.
Gee, that high school education of his certainly has taken Hannity a long way.
I sat with Sean in the studio during one of his live broadcasts in New York. He is a total professional that brings strength and character to the Fox News Network. I am also friends with many of his friends and personally he was given a sore loser vote from people that are jealous of him.
I have been following you for years and I am appalled of what they are saying about you, if any thing I trust you and Mr. O’Reilly. Please, don’t let them break you down, you are one of the best host ever and all these people who are talking about you are jealous of you and what you stand for. You are very smart, gentle and kind person who speaks his mind and not afraid of anyone, we need people like you we trust to let us know what is going on in the world and politics. And, if they take you off for Megan, I will stop watching Fox News because then I will know how untrustworthy and fake they are. Thank You for being here for us.
