Sarah Palin has signed a contract to become a reality TV judge. It is a production deal, and Palin now needs a television network for the pilot.
Former Alaska Governor and Donald Trump supporter Sarah Palin is set to become a TV judge. With this plan, she will be competing against TV courtroom icons like Judge Judy and Judge Joe Brown.
According to People, the conservative star signed the contract with Warm Springs in February. The company is based in Montana and approached Palin with the idea in 2015.
Warm Springs believes in the controversial commentator’s ability to deliver and has built a strong team around her, including an executive, who has worked with Judge Judy and Judge Joe Brown. Palin is bringing something different to the table. Unlike those two legends, she does not have a Juris Doctor degree. This is something that her employer is aware of, but it has decided to bet on her other qualities.
A source told People:
“It’s a production deal. What happens next is she’ll meet with stations, make a pilot and sell it. Palin’s telegenic personality, wide appeal and common sense wisdom make her a natural for this kind of format and she was Warm Springs’ top pick for this project.”
It is not sure that the as-yet-untitled daytime show will get picked up, but it is expected to begin airing in the fall of 2017 via syndication. Palin, who has appeared on various reality TV programs in the past, has not offered an official comment about the new TV deal.
Right now, her attention is focused on getting Trump nominated for president and taking care of her husband, Todd Palin, who had a snowmachine accident in Alaska about ten days ago.
Fans of Palin are looking forward to this new chapter of her career, while her critics say she is not qualified for such job.
