Quintavious Johnson did not win this season of America’s Got Talent, but he became a star and met his idol Jennifer Hudson for an unforgettable duet. At only 12, the talented Quintavious Johnson has a bright future in front of him. After his amazing run, fans are hoping that Johnson’s mom will get him a dog or two.
Quintavious Johnson went up against a fierce group of competitors that included Emily West, Miguel Dakota, Sons of Serendip, AcroArmy, and Mat Franco during the finale of America’s Got Talent.
The fan favorite who delivered week after week was expected to win easily, but that was not the case.
Mat Franco, a magician from Rhode Island took home the $1 million prize.
When the audience learned that Johnson was eliminated, they started booing out of disbelief that the young boy that Heidi Klum and Howard Stern predicted would go all the way, did not.
After being eliminated, Quintavious Johnson who might be wiser beyond his age, calmly said:
“Being on this show has meant the world to me! I’m so excited I got to do this. How many can say they got to the Top Six?”
Johnson who started singing at the age of five in the Lime Stone Baptist Choir in Franklin, Tennessee had one of his wishes come true last night.
The little boy had the opportunity to duet with Oscar and Grammy winner Jennifer Hudson.
Hudson first belted her hit song, “It’s Your World” sans R. Kelly before having a vocal competition with Quintavious Johnson on “And I Am Telling You.”
The diva has a voice not to be messed with, but little Johnson was able to hold his own and impress the crowd that went wild at the end of the performance.
If he did win, he had plans to buy two dogs and help his mom out with bills and the mortgage.
Someone needs to start a petition in order for Quintavious Johnson to get his pets, he deserves them.
