Oregon police released a sketch with eyes and nose missing. Law enforcers in Oregon have put out a very murky sketch of a heavy, old, black man who tried to kidnap a 12-year-old girl, hoping the public will help them catch him.
Oregon police are hoping that the public will help them identify a suspect with the help of a bizarre sketch that has no eyes and nose, and seems to be missing a portion of the mouth.
While the case is serious, residents in Oregon can not help but laugh at the police for deciding to use this creepy sketch. On October 15, at around 8:50 a.m., the suspect partially described in the sketch above, walked up to a 12-year-old girl in Happy Valley, and tried to lure her into his vehicle.
The man who is African-American, between the ages of 50 and 60 with peppered color hair, told the little girl that her mother was taken to the hospital, and he was asked to pick her up.
The child who was on her way to school, made the smart move to immediately grab her cell phone and dial 911. The potential criminal fled the scene.
Talking to a sketch artist from the Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office, the child shared only the details, she could remember, which resulted in this picture of a man with empty eye sockets.
Dan Kraus of the Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office explained that the child forgot what the man’s nose and mouth looked like and added:
“It would be very problematic if the artist drew eyes that had not been described.”
According to the child, the man was short and very heavy. The suspect had a “scratchy smoker’s voice” and a chin beard with no hair over the upper lip.
He was driving a red Toyota pickup truck with letters “X,” “Q” and “Z” on the license plates. The truck had two bumper stickers that read “Keep Portland Weird” and “Baby on Board.”
Many took to Twitter to mock Oregon police and ask them, should they be on the lookout for a man with no eyes this Halloween?
