Olivia Culpo and the California heat went head to head, and Culpo lost. While getting ready to greet and interview the stars on the Emmy Awards’ red carpet, the scorching Los Angeles heat got the best of Culpo prompting her to faint.
Olivia Culpo made headlines at the 2015 Emmy Awards held at the Microsoft Theater on Sunday in Los Angeles, California – by fainting.
Culpo, who was helping Giuliana Rancic with the coverage of the red carpet for E!’s Live from the Red Carpet, arrived looking like the real Miss USA, that she is.
The professional cello player looked stunning in a white dress, complete with cape-like sleeves by Tom Ford, silver shoes by Jimmy Choo, a chic bun and berry red lipstick.
Prior to attending the event, the 22-year-old took to Instagram where she shared a picture of herself getting her hair and makeup done and captioned it:

Culpo had just begun her hosting gig and was talking to Rancic and Ross Mathews when she fainted and landed on the floor. Rancic rushed by her co-host’s side and helped her up while Mathews asked her if she was doing well?
The Miss Universe was cared for by paramedics and was rapidly released. She shared a picture of herself on a wheelchair looking embarrassed and explained underneath that she was doing well.
Later on the show, Giuliana Rancic did confirm that Culpo was fine and that she got light-headed due to the fact the temperatures had reached over 104 degrees while they were filming. So, how hot was it in California?
Well, Mario Lopez, who was standing just inches away from Culpo talking to attendees, shared a picture of his shirt soaked with sweat.
Many of Culpo’s fans wished her well while few haters claimed that she faked the whole thing for headlines.
