NOFX Fat Mike kicks Alex Medak on stage, apologizes and gives him a free concert ticket.
NOFX Fat Mike kicks fan while performing and later tweets an apology. On Wednesday night, Mike Burkett aka Fat Mike was performing at the Enmore Theatre in Sydney, Australia with the NOFX band when the incident occurred.
Prior to starting the gig, NOFX’s Fat Mike told the crowd that he had injured his neck and was in terrible pain. It appears that a fan by the name of Alex Medak did not hear what Fat Mike said.
In the middle of the performance, Medak jumped on stage and grabbed Fat Mike by the neck in an attempt to hug him. The lead singer of NOFX’s reaction was a bit shocking.
NOFX Fat Mike turned and punched the fan in the face. The man fell to the floor and Fat Mike decided to kick him in the face. Medak was escorted from the stage by security guards.
Few hours later, NOFX’s Fat Mike said sorry for the kick and punch:
“I’m sorry too Alex, I was in terrible pain all night. When you grabbed me by the neck I defensively reacted… offensively.Come back and find me. We will have a better night tomorrow!”
Alex replied by saying:
“No worries mike, i completely forgot you mentioned your neck hurting, I was way too drunk.”
Fat Mike’s tour member, Stephen Garret, got in contact with Alex and has provided him with a ticket for the show scheduled for Friday.
The NOFX Fat Mike kick incident has angered some of the group’s fans. One person tweeted:
“i used to admire fatmike b4 i saw him to that to a fan.”
Alex replied by saying:
“Don’t blame him. He said his neck was in pain and I still went up and obviously hurt him.”
