Call Buffy, Nicholas Brendon has been arrested again. The star was detained in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina and charged with public intoxication.
Nicholas Brendon, a former star from Buffy the Vampire Slayer, is not having a very good 2015. He has been arrested three times since January.
On Saturday, Nicholas Brendon was arrested in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina and was charged with public intoxication. It appears that he has been released because the following day, he shared a picture of himself on the beach with the following caption: “Twatters I love you all. Healing waters of Myrtle Beach. We are all human.”
The star is in South Carolina for the XCON World comic convention. In February, the Private Practice actor was arrested in Fort Lauderdale, Florida for trashing his hotel room and refusing to pay his bill.
His rep had declined to comment on the incident. In March, while attending another convention in Tallahassee, Brendon was arrested after a 911 call was made reporting disturbance in his hotel room. This time around, his rep issued a lengthy statement explaining that his client was battling several addictions.
“Nicholas is battling a disease. He has been suffering from a lifelong desolation due to childhood trauma and he is finally coming to terms with what happened and where he sees himself in the future. This is the first time in his adult life that he is able to admit his troubles publicly, and he wants to do so while seeking the treatment that is best for him. This goes beyond a few months in a rehabilitation center, or a quick dose of anti-depressants: Nicholas’ struggle will go on for years, but he has a strong support system behind him that will guide him through the uphill battle that is chronic depression,” the statement read. “This past weekend’s chain of events was a cry for help. While it’s been depicted that Nicholas is a raging alcoholic with an anger problem, that is not the case. In the coming months, as Nicholas seeks treatment and speaks out about his demons, we are hoping to clear up any misconceptions about his character and his illness. Nicholas has sought legal and medical counsel to guide him.”
It is claimed that he became even more depressed after divorcing Moonda Tee, his wife of almost five months. After the March arrest, the star had promised his fans that he would stop drinking, it seems that he was not able to keep his word.
