Joshua Leonard and Newsroom star Alison Pill marry in the most beautiful and intimate wedding ceremony of the year, and fans of the two actors could not be happier. Pill and Leonard are thrilled to share the amazing wedding pictures with the rest of the world.
Joshua Leonard and Newsroom actress Alison Pill got married in a simple yet elegant wedding ceremony that should be featured in Bride Magazine.
On May 24th, as Kim Kardashian and Kanye West were celebrating their first wedding anniversary, Joshua Leonard and Alison Pill were exchanging their vows.
Alison Pill, who played Maggie Jordan in The Newsroom, wore a yellow canary vintage wedding dress that featured sheer short-sleeve and a very detailed bodice. Pill wore a red flower pin, matching red lipstick and kept her golden curls tamed by pinning them back.
As for the groom, he opted for a very sophisticated black suit and white shirt combination. The various pictures posted on Instagram by the newlyweds seem to indicate that the romantic ceremony took place in their backyard.
Leonard Instagrammed a picture where the two fathers were bonding as they made perfect spring inspired centerpieces for the event. He also posted a photo of his new bride flashing her engagement ring and wedding band as she was having breakfast.
“We got married, she ate toast. @msalisonpill,” Leonard captioned the photo.
The former Canadian child star, who has appeared in films like Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen and Milk, posted a brief video of her first dance with her husband and captioned it:
“We’re married!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! best day of my life.”
The Newsroom star also unveiled a snapshot of the wedding guests sitting in a circle and wrote underneath:
“The people I love most in the world.”
Leonard and Pill got engaged in January, and the actor revealed that he popped the question while hiking in California’s Joshua Tree National Park with a vintage ring.
“I told her that I loved her more than anybody on the planet. It was pretty good. Her hands were shaking, and so about 30 seconds after I gave it to her I said, ‘You might want to put that on now,'” Leonard explained. “It was pretty amazing. I thought we were about to take a picture,” Pill confessed. “I was like ‘Alright, let’s … Wha, what?'”
