Matt Lauer’s “Drink It In” comment has gone viral. This week, NBC aired the Today Show’s annual musical special, which included a skit where Matt Lauer is in his underpants. He opened his sport coat and told his female co-hosts, Savannah Guthrie, Natalie Morales, Jenna Bush Hager and Tamron Hall to “Drink It In.”
A Matt Lauer “Drink It In” skit is making headlines. On Monday, December 29th, NBC broadcast the Today Show‘s annual musical entitled “TODAY! The Musical.”
The 14-minute musical, which was written by Kathie Lee Gifford with orchestration by David Wilde, featured a series of hilarious SNL-like skits with all of the co-hosts and some of the crew members of the network’s morning show.
While most of the sketches were silly and innocent, the Matt Lauer “Drink It In” skit was not. During the 35-second skit, Matt Lauer was in a rush to go prepare for an interview with Regis Philbin, whom he called an imbecile; he crashed into a staff member who accidentally spilled coffee on him.
Lauer rapidly removed his expensive trousers to expose his silly cookies-and-milk boxers and demanded that they be ironed by an intern immediately, because he wanted to look better than Philbin.
As the staff member was ironing Lauer’s pants, his co-anchors, Savannah Guthrie, Natalie Morales, Jenna Bush Hager, and Tamron Hall, walked in and were not impressed by what they saw.
Matt Lauer opened his jacket and told the women:
“Drink it in ladies, drink it in ladies.”
Natalie Morales asked Matt Lauer:
“Oh, again Matt, really?”
An annoyed Jenna Bush Hager added:
“it’s the third time this week.”
Tamron Hall poked fun at the television star by asking:
“Did your mommy give you those?”
Hall, Hager, Morales took another jab at Lauer by making baby crying sounds, which prompted new mom, Savannah Guthrie to say:
“stop it, you’re making me lactate.”
All four ladies left with a disgust look on their faces. The Matt Lauer “Drink It In” skit has made some people angry. Some commentators say that if a skit like that aired on FOX News, liberals would be screaming sexist, sexual harassment, and inappropriate.
