If he took her name, he would have been known as Marcus Faddoul. However, it seems that after getting married, Bachelor In Paradise stars – Marcus Grodd and Lacy Faddoul – have opted not to follow Zoe Saldana and her husband, Marco Perego. Over the weekend, news broke that Grodd and Faddoul exchanged vows in 2014 and have plans to share their wedding ceremony with fans on season two of Bachelor In Paradise.
Marcus Faddoul is not his name. Unlike Zoe Saldana‘s husband, Marco Perego, who took his wife’s name, Marcus Grodd, who wed Lacy Faddoul in a secret ceremony, has decided to keep his. Saldana, who was slammed for Perego’s decision, shared:
“I tried to talk him out of it. I told him, ‘If you use my name, you’re going to be emasculated by your community of artists, by your Latin community of men, by the world. But Marco looks up at me and says [she puts on a cute Italian accent], ‘Ah, Zoe, I don’t give a sheet.”
A source spoke exclusively to Us Weekly and revealed that Bachelor in Paradise stars – Lacy Faddoul, 27, and Marcus Grodd, 26 – got married after meeting on the spin-off show.
No one knew about it. However, the world will soon get every little detail about the lavish affair, the rings, the dress and the suit.
The same insider confirmed that Faddoul and Grodd’s fabulous wedding was taped and will be shown on Bachelor in Paradise Season 2. Few months ago, Grodd, a sports medicine manager, took to Instagram to wish Faddoul a happy anniversary. Everyone assumed he was talking about their one year together as boyfriend and girlfriend. The reality star wrote:
“Happy 1 year anniversary honey buns! Crazy to think I had a ring in my pocket this time last year without her having a clue. Whatcha getting ready for?”
Lacy Faddoul, a nursing home owner, talked about her wedding plans after announcing her engagement last summer. Faddoul said:
“We actually really want to customize our wedding to contribute to the Bachelor Nation. And, so, we’re planning in the process and we actually are designing a perfume line.My perfume is actually what I’ll be wearing on my wedding day so I’m really excited about that.”
She also revealed the guest list: “Clare Crawley, Michelle Money, there are several Bachelor people who will definitely make the list as well as our bridal party.”
Faddoul went on to praise Grodd for helping with the wedding organization:
“I do the magazines, and try to get the Internet searches going. He’s good with Pinterest, actually!”
Bachelor in Paradise Season 2 will premiere on Augusts 2.
