Madonna Ordered To Stop Harassing Her Neighbors By Court

Madonna New York Apartment Case

Madonna was recently involved in a legal dispute regarding her rental agreement, which ended badly for her — she attempted to challenge a rule that she disagreed with, and was subsequently denied by the court.

The so-called harassment case is linked to the pop superstar’s Upper West Side co-op

Afterward, Madonna apparently initiated a campaign to try and get her hands on the various documents relevant to her situation, such as a record of how her rental agreement has changed.

The rule that Madonna disagreed with stated that the singer was required to be physically present in her apartment when any of her family members — or staff — were also there. That way, effectively, she could not let anyone else use the place for any extended periods of time without her presence.

At this point, however, the court does not seem too impressed with Madonna’s attempts to further the situation, as she has been ordered to stop harassing her neighbors by trying to obtain the records she is after.

According to a judge, Madonna does not need the records at this point to prove anything, and in fact, she should not even be allowed to dispute the case in the first place. It does not seem like Madonna is willing to give up that easily though, so we expect to see the situation continue from her side.

Manhattan Supreme Court Justice Gerald Lebovits wrote in his decision, “Plaintiff does not need those materials anymore to prove a case that, by law, she is no longer allowed to prove.”

Which might be unfortunate for the star’s neighbors in case they do have a legitimate claim against her in this situation, but there is nothing that they would be able to do to override the court’s decision. The case is still ongoing, so we are likely going to see more developments soon.
