Prisoners have many stereotypes associated with them, and one of the more prominent ones is that most of them have a zero-tolerance policy towards child abusers of any kind.
The thugs responsible for the recent murder of a teenager in the Bronx are finding this out first-hand, according to reports, as the situation around them has apparently become very heated.
Things have gotten so bad that three of the alleged attackers have been relocated to a separate 50-cell facility that is been dedicated entirely to them, out of concern for their well-being.
Reports indicate that there is been no shortage of violent threats from many sides, including members of their own former gang.
There is no divide in the way society as a whole has responded to the attack, with practically nobody defending the actions of the thugs.
The incident was reportedly a case of mistaken identity as the group had targeted the completely wrong person, but that only seems to have made their situation worse in the eyes of those around them.
While no actual incidents have been reported yet, it is very likely that some of the co-inmates of the former gang members are going to jump at any opportunity to play vigilante, especially considering the charged nature of the crime.
Others have stepped in to say that the justice system should be allowed to do its work, as a life sentence would likely be much more brutal to them in the long run than a quick death in prison. Of course, this is a typically hot and loaded topic.
The Trinitarios gang members are refusing to turn on each other. 29-year-old Diego Suero is said to be the leader of the group responsible for the death of Lesandro “Junior” Guzman-Feliz, and he has refused to give information on his alleged accomplices.
Danilo Payamps-Pacheco, 21, is also not cooperating with the authorities. A 12th suspect named Luis A. Cabrarasantos, 25, was arrested in Connecticut on Monday.
