Luigi’s Rollickin’ Roadsters will be launched next month. In a statement issued by Disney California Adventure Park, it was announced that Luigi’s Rollickin’ Roadsters will include dancing cars and many other features for both adults and children, who are fans of Radiator Springs.
Luigi’s Rollickin’ Roadsters is ready to roll with Carsoli and Italy in March. In a press release issued by Disney California Adventure Park, located in Anaheim, California, it was revealed that a new ride has been added to the theme park called Luigi’s Rollickin’ Roadsters.
The upcoming amusement ride is part of Cars Land at Disney California Adventure and it “utilizes a trackless ride system similar to Aquatopia at Tokyo DisneySea,” according to the press release.
This is the very first Disney attraction in the United States with the trackless ride system. The new attraction will also feature what are described as dancing cars such as Luigi, Carsoli, and Italy moving and spinning on a trackless ride system with their own personality and signature dance moves to Italian music (5 different songs are used, and there are 18 individual paths.)
The ride is replacing Luigi’s Flying Tires, which was inspired by Disneyland’s Flying Saucers attraction from the 1960s – Luigi’s Flying Tires ended last year. Jeffrey Shaver-Moskovitz, a producer at Walt Disney Imagineering, explained:
“Each dancing car will have its own high-spirited personality and signature dance moves – making every ride unpredictable, as you won’t know which way they will turn and spin next,” Disney said in a news release. “Luigi will turn the tire storage yard behind his Casa Della Tires into a dance floor. Cars Land guests will be able to ride along with Luigi’s cousins as they move and spin to upbeat Italian music, performing the traditional dances of their hometown village.”
Shaver-Moskovitz went on to add:
“You’ll see 20 of Luigi’s cousins have come… and they all have their own unique personality. There’ll be five different songs they’ll be dancing along to and each ride is going to be different and unique.”
Guests can ride the famous cars from Radiator Springs when Luigi’s Rollickin’ Roadsters opens on March 7 at Disney California Adventure park.
