It seems like LaVar Ball’s prediction about LeBron James came true after all. He had claimed that he was certain the NBA superstar would go to the Lakers.
Once the new contract of the former Cleveland Cavaliers leader was finalized, it did not take long for comments to start pouring out reminding everyone of Ball’s prediction.
However, it does also look like there are a few things left to iron out behind the scenes between the two, as Ball and James are apparently not on perfect terms at the moment.
This seems mostly based on a comment Ball made regarding the career of James as well as his own children, claiming that the kids of James are going to have a much more difficult time growing up due to having to walk in their father’s shadow.
James was quick to respond, reminding Ball to mind his own business and not get his family involved in those discussions.
He added that the situation was already a problematic one from his perspective, although we have not heard much about the apparent beef between the two ever since.
Hopefully, the history between them is not going to affect James’ new career direction, although that does not seem very likely, given his standing with fans and the audience as a whole.
There might be some initial friction, but we do not expect it to last too long, especially not in the public’s eye.
Most will likely be firmly focused on the famous player’s performance on the field above all else.
Moreover, Ball seems to believe that all his son, Lonzo Ball, needs to win the NBA title with the Los Angeles Lakers is a player of James’ caliber.
In a recent interview talking about James’ move, he could not contain his joy.
He said, “You don’t give my son the best player in the game and don’t think he gonna win no championships!”
Experts still believe that it will take many things to happen to end the Golden State Warriors’ championship reign.
