Kristen Bell is in a Good Place, well make that a great place. NBC has announced that Bell and Ted Danson will be starring in the upcoming NBC comedy about a woman, who is trying to understand the difference between good and bad.
According to her Instagram page, Kristen Bell is often in a good place when she is surrounded by her dogs, her family, baking cookies, and when she has a big bag full of cash – and now she gets to be in a Good Place – literally!
It has been confirmed that that Bell will be joining the upcoming series entitled Good Place along with Ted Danson.
In a brief statement issued by CBS Entertainment president Glenn Geller, it was revealed that Danson is leaving CSI: Cyber for good – it can be deducted that he decided to exit because his one year contract is up and the bosses over at CBS are still weighing their options when it comes to the show’s future. Danson played D.B. Russell on CSI for four years, (the show got cancelled last fall), and his character moved to CSI: Cyber for one season.
Bell will take on the role of Eleanor, a New Jersey resident, who wakes up one day to the realization that she has been a very good person. The woman takes the decision to change her life and her quest to understand the true meanings of bad and good will lead her to Micheal played by Danson.
Michael will become a guide for Eleanor, who will help her through her self-designed self-improvement course. Producer Michael Schur, best known for his work on Brooklyn Nine-Nine, The Office, and Parks and Recreation, is behind the project and has already cooked up 13 episodes for the network.
The Frozen and Veronica Mars actress has plans to remain in Showtime’s House of Lies if it gets picked up for a sixth season. Danson had some good times on NBC thanks to Cheers, which aired from 1982 to 1993 in the role of Sam Malone, a part that earned him 11 Emmy, and eight Golden Globes nominations – with him winning twice.
What are your thoughts on Ted Danson leaving CSI: Cyber?
