Kim Richards’ sister is proud that she has entered rehab. In a new interview, Kathy Hilton stated that her sister and star of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, Kim Richards, has decided to seek help for her alcohol addiction.
Kathy Hilton, Kim Richards‘ sister, is proud that she has decided to seek professional help for her drinking problem.
In a brief interview with People, Kathy Hilton revealed that unlike the other sister, whose name shall not be mentioned, she is very supportive and proud of Kim Richards.
While at the Ovarian Cancer Research Fund’s 2nd Annual Super in Los Angeles, the hotel heiress said:
“I’m very proud of her, she decided on her own to go. I just want to do the right thing, and I want to be the strongest I can be.”
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star, who has been battling alcohol addiction for numerous years, took the decision to seek professional help last month.
On April 16th, the Beverly Hills Police were called to the Beverly Hills Hotel where Richards, who was drunk, started fighting. The TV personality was hit with three misdemeanor charges: One count of public intoxication, one count of resisting, obstructing, delaying a peace officer or EMT, and one count of battery upon a peace officer. She is set to appear in court on June 11.
It is rumored that she decided to go seek treatment to avoid jail. After a sit-down with Dr. Phil McGraw, the 50 year entered rehab. Richards said at the time:
“I’m a very strong person and I have been sober. I haven’t been working a program. Living through a season on a show, sometimes it’s hard to just get through.”
Kim Richards’ proud sister went on to talk about Brooke Brinson‘s bridal shower.
“Kim is so excited for her daughter’s wedding next weekend. She wouldn’t miss it,” she said. According to Hilton, she is not sure her sister will return to RHOBH. She explained:
“I think the show has been really great, I mean she’s a professional. She’s an actress. But this is real. Kim needs to learn the tools to cope when there is something that’s upsetting. You have to learn to use the tools to not fall off the wagon.”
Kyle Richards has been less supportive of her sister, who has been in and out of rehab.
