Kelly Clarkson cried on her first Mother’s Day as a mom after receiving a card from her baby girl, River Rose, and husband, Brandon Blackstock. The American Idol winner revealed that her stepchildren – Seth and Savannah – also made her day special.
Kelly Clarkson and her adorable baby, River Rose, celebrated their first Mother’s Day together. Via Instagram, Kelly Clarkson shared a cute picture of her little girl and explained that on Mother’s Day, she received a card from River Rose and her husband, Brandon Blackstock.
The touching note made Clarkson cry, and she added that her stepchildren also showered her with love on the special day. The singer said:
“My husband had this little nugget scribble on a Mother’s Day card for me today. I cried. Best gifts I’ve been given are all 3 of my kiddos #River #Savannah #Seth Being a mother is the greatest thing I’ll ever do.”
Kelly Clarkson went on to wish the other moms out there a happy Mother’s Day. She shared:
“My career inspires me but my family gives me this constant state of euphoria that is all consuming and ever growing and sometimes hard but completely worth it. Happy Mother’s Day to every single mama on the planet! You’re beautiful! You’re inspiring! And you create the future!! What the hell, that’s so amazing?!”
Clarkson recently spoke to People Magazine, saying that being a mother is the most amazing thing that has happened to her. She revealed:
“I never thought I was going to be a mom, so it’s very much changed my world in the most awesome way,”
She added:
“I love what I do, but I feel like I relied on my career a lot for my self-worth. And now I’m more than that. I’ve accomplished a lot, but I guess the biggest success I want is that whenever I die people will say, ‘She was so successful as a mother, and as a wife.’ That’s kind of my big goal.”
News broke earlier today confirming that American Idol will end after its next and 15th season while Kelly Clarkson has yet to comment, few other famous names from the series have shared their thoughts. Adam Lambert had this to say:
