Kelly Clarkson canceled all the remaining dates of her Piece by Piece Tour, and fans have taken to social media to express their disappointment. Clarkson, who is pregnant with her second child, has decided to listen to her doctors.
Kelly Clarkson, 33, has chosen to focus on her health and put an end to her Piece by Piece Tour that was supposed to take her to Canada and the United Kingdom in October and November. The surprising news comes after the “Heartbeat Song” artist canceled some dates in the US about two weeks ago. At the time she wrote on Instagram:
So bummed that I have to cancel some of my tour dates. This kills me, but doctors are saying I need to rest my voice! I can’t wait to get healthy and see y’all back on the road soon. I hate canceling and I am truly sorry to my fans that have been excited to see this show. Please know that I never cancel anything unless it’s absolutely necessary.
On September 25, the mother of one posted a statement on her official website announcing the end of the tour. Clarkson said:
“I am truly sorry that I have to cancel the remainder of my tour dates. I was so looking forward to sharing this tour with all my amazing fans in Canada and the UK. Unfortunately my doctor is telling me I have to stay on vocal rest, but I am working hard to get better as fast as possible.”

Clarkson also had problems with her voice after her first pregnancy. She even thought that she would have trouble getting it back. In February, she told ET Canada:
“Afterwards was the part where I literally had a moment where I cried and drank wine all day. I was like, ‘Oh God, I’m not going to be a singer anymore.’… I was bawling to my husband and completely hammered, just going, ‘Oh my God, it’s over. I don’t know what I’m going to do. I guess I could do more charity work.’ I didn’t know what I was going to do.”
The woman known as “The Original American Idol” released her seventh studio album, Piece By Piece, in February, but the project has failed to deliver on the charts. The tour followed in July, and attendance was considered so-so. Nick Jonas and Tyler Shaw were the opening acts for the Canadian leg of the tour.
