Kalee Scolatti, Nicholas Scolatti and their friend, Anthony Dupras, have all died. Montana authorities have confirmed that Nicholas Scolatti, who shot his wife, Kalee, and their pal, Anthony Dupras, passed away after a failed suicide attempt.
Kalee Scolatti, her estranged husband, Nicholas Scolatti, and their family friend, Anthony Dupras, are all dead after a botched murder-suicide that has rocked Missoula, Montana.
On Wednesday, Kalee Scolatti, who was the news director at ABC FOX Montana, was confronted by her estranged husband, Nicholas Scolatti, at her home, reports The Inquisitr.
Instead of calling 911, Mrs. Scolatti contacted Anthony Dupras, aka TJ Dupras, a friend of the former couple. The trio got into a heated argument, followed by a fight, according to the police, which led to Mr. Scolatti pulling out a gun and shooting both his wife and friend dead. After murdering Kalee Scolatti and Anthony Dupras, he turned the gun on himself and pulled the trigger.
Despite shooting himself in the head, Nicholas Scolatti survived and was rushed to a Missoula hospital, where he died from his injuries a day and a half later after being removed from life support.
The Missoula Police Department spokesman Travis Welsh would not reveal why the trio fought. Welsh said there were no previous domestic violence calls to the home. ABC FOX Montana issued a statement where they paid tribute to Kalee Scolatti and cleared some nasty rumors flying around.
Despite what is being said by some media outlets, Scolatti was not dating the man, who perished while trying to save her. The network explained:
“While we keep referring to Anthony Dupras as Kalee Scolatti’s “close family friend,” Kalee would have introduced him to you as her brother.”
The TV station has revealed that the couple tied the knot in 1999 and have three children. Kalee Scolatti and Nicholas Scolatti recently split, and he moved out of the family home because she felt that the marriage was no longer working.
In their touching tribute, ABC FOX Montana explained that Scolatti was a hard-working and talented journalist, who gradually climbed the ladder of success to reach one of the highest positions in the network. The tribute read:
“Kalee Scolatti brought energy and excitement to every project she touched. She will continue to be a strong influence and inspiration for all of us here at ABC FOX Montana.
Born and reared in Missoula, it was almost a forgone conclusion that Kalee would become a Grizzly. She entered the School of Journalism at UM and met another bright-eyed student named Angela Marshall.
Kalee had secured an internship at KTMF ABC 23 before merging to become ABC FOX Montana. When she graduated in 2005 the station snatched her up.”
Along with being a great news director, she was an awesome mother and friend, passionate by music. The statement continued:
“Kalee began in the promotions and production department, directing and producing commercials and on-air programming.
On January 1, 2015 Kalee became news director.
Kalee loved music, especially Pearl Jam with its local Missoula ties. She was a wonderful daughter, a supportive friend, an incredible mother, and she will be so desperately missed by all who were lucky enough to know her.”
Kalee Scolatti was 34 years old.
