Grisham said that the American justice system is too tough on people caught viewing indecent images of children. The writer explained that one his pals, was intoxicated one night and accidentally downloaded child porn.
The man who is also a lawyer, never touched a child, according to John Grisham. The following day, the FBI arrested Grisham’s friend, because the website he visited was in a reality a sting set up by the Canadian police.
Grisham went on to say that he believes real pedophiles should be in prison, but those who looked at images of 16-year-old girls should get a lesser sentence. He further explained that there is a difference between looking at a teen girl who is dressed like a 30-year-old woman and a 10-year-old boy.
