Jeb Bush has endorsed Ted Cruz for president in an effort to prevent GOP front-runner Donald Trump from getting the nomination. The anti-Trump movement is apparently running out of time and ideas on their quest to stop the controversial business mogul on his path to grabbing the Republican Party nomination for president.
After Senator Lindsey Graham of South Carolina, 2012 GOP nominee Mitt Romney, former Florida Gov. and candidate for president Jeb Bush is backing Texas Senator Ted Cruz over real estate tycoon Donald Trump and John Kasich, the governor of Ohio, in the Republican Party nomination race for president.
All of those people are members of the GOP establishment, which is slowly rallying around Cruz to stop Trump, who has a big lead in the delegate race. 1,237 delegates are needed to win the nomination outright, and so far, the New York billionaire has won 739 of them to Cruz’s 465. 944 have yet to be allocated, something that will be decided via the upcoming primary elections.
Most experts believe that Mr. Trump is the only one, who can reach the magic number before the convention to claim the nomination. However, the establishment is hoping that if Cruz can win enough races to prevent Trump from reaching the number, they can nominate someone else at the convention even if he is the one with the most pledged delegates. Bush’s endorsement of Cruz is an integral part of this plan. The brother of former President George W. Bush said:
“Washington is broken, and the only way Republicans can hope to win back the White House and put our nation on a better path is to support a nominee who can articulate how conservative policies will help people rise up and reach their full potential.”
He added:
“Washington is broken, and the only way Republicans can hope to win back the White House and put our nation on a better path is to support a nominee who can articulate how conservative policies will help people rise up and reach their full potential.”
Trump has blasted Bush’s move. He has never been a fan of the former governor.
What are your thoughts on Jeb Bush’s Ted Cruz endorsement?
Low energy Jeb Bush just endorsed a man he truly hates, Lyin’ Ted Cruz. Honestly, I can’t blame Jeb in that I drove him into oblivion!

I think having Jeb's endorsement hurts Lyin' Ted. Jeb spent more than $150,000,000 and got nothing. I spent a fraction of that and am first!
