Is Jake dead on Scandal? According to some reports, he might have survived being stabbed multiple times by Olivia Pope’s new boyfriend, Russell. Additionally a tweet posted by Scott Foley, who plays Jake Ballard, gave the indication that this was not the last time we have seen him on Scandal.
Is Jake dead on Scandal? Apparently no. Last week, fans of ABC’s Scandal were shocked, more like very angry when Jake Ballard played by actor Scott Foley appeared dead on the show.
According to the almighty Twitter, many were crying, and binge eating ice cream and asking themselves how do they go on without their sexy Jake? He loved to walk around shirtless, make sweet love to Olivia over and over again while reminding her that they need to be “standing in the sun.”
Jake Ballard was stabbed in the chest at the OPA by Russel played by Brian White, who is Olivia Pope’s (Kerry Washington) new lover.
Before killing Jake, Russell and Olivia gave viewers one hot sexy scene. During the final moment of the episode titled “I’m Just a Bill,” a shocking plot twist was revealed. Russel was working with Rowan Pope aka Papa Pope (Joe Morton) the whole time and was hired to kill Jake.
Papa Pope was not thrilled about Jake testifying about B613. While poor Jake was stabbed at least 8 times and yes, Shonda Rhimes had killed off Foley’s character Henry Burton on Grey’s Anatomy in the past, it seems that this time around things might be different.
As the headline “Jake dead on Scandal” was blowing up the Internet, Foley, who joined the show during Season 2, decided to comment on the matter. Foley tweeted:
“So, there it is. Thank you Twitter for tonight and all of the Thursday nights. It’s such an honor. #Scandal.”
Seeing that he wrote “It’s such an honor,” instead of it was such an honor – many deducted that Jake is not dead. Some are pointing to the fact that since the so-called death, Shonda Rhimes, who is often conducting interviews, has gone silence.
They believe that she is staying under the radar in order not to let any major secrets slip. Scott Foley might also be leaving Scandal to go focus on his show with Rhimes’ help. Foley and Greg Grunberg have partnered with Shondaland for a yet-to-be-titled comedy. According to reports:
“The untitled comedy revolves around engaged couple Max and Paige who, over their wedding rehearsal dinner, have their eclectic family and friends give toasts recalling anecdotes about the couple — but flashbacks reveal that the toasts don’t always get it right, as we watch the true story of their complicated, funny and relatable road to marriage.”
So, is Jake dead on Scandal? What are your thoughts on Foley potentially leaving the series?
I can't believe Scandal. They made Jake's death so easy. Smfh.
