Iggy Azalea falls off stage at a Los Angeles club, gets back up and continues her performance as if nothing happened. The “Fancy” rapper is a consummate professional.
Friday, the Australian singer took the stage at the Lifebeat – Music Fights HIV/AIDS show at The Avalon in Hollywood. The historic southern California nightclub hosted the MTV Video Music Awards benefit concert where “Stay With Me” singer Sam Smith also performed.
Azalea tumbled while performing her hit song “Fancy” with British singer Charli XCX. As she was moving around on stage, the “Two Times” femcee fell off.
The bodyguards at the event rushed to help her get back up. The young artist handled the incident really well, she never stopped singing for the brief time she was on the floor.
At the end of her set, the former Grand Hustle Records signee, told the audience that she was blessed, because she did not break her legs.
The 24-year-old beauty later joined in the jokes on social media, by posting the video of her fall on her official Instagram page. The model used the caption:
Sorry but it would be a crime not to share this with you all, I know I laughed. #StillFinishedtheSongTho #KeptOnRapping #TheShowMustGoOn.
The “Pu$$y” artist got some love from her “Black Widow” collaborator Rita Ora after the show was over. Jennifer Lopez who worked with the blonde bombshell on “Booty” was also there to support her friend.
Azalea is not the first big music star to take a fall while performing onstage. Earlier this year, while performing on the “Mrs Carter World Tour” in Lisbon, Portugal, Beyoncé fell down on stage.
The talent from Down Under will have a chance to erase the fall from pop culture’s memory, when she hit the stage at the 2014 MTV Video Music Awards on Sunday night. Azalea has seven nominations.
