A 1-minute, 40-second official teaser trailer for dark comedy Horrible Bosses 2 has debuted online on Tuesday and we must say that it looks very good. Jason Bateman, Jason Sudeikis and Charlie Day will all reprise their roles in this sequel that will premiere on November 26, 2014.
Second-tier characters like the bombastic Dr. Julia Harris played by the talented Jennifer Aniston and Dean “Motherfuckah” Jones portrayed by Oscar-winning actor Jamie Foxx will also be back.
The teaser trailer starts with the inseparable trio heading to a prison to visit David Harken (Kevin Spacey) their nemesis from the 2011 prequel. They also get in touch with Dean “Motherfuckah” Jones in order to help them stage a kidnapping this time around.
All of this is followed by the showstopping scene where Nick Hendricks (Jason Bateman) tries to escape from Julia Harris’ sexual advances. At some point she invites him to relieve himself on her after he told her that he was going to the men’s room.
Aniston has found herself the perfect niche, she completely stole the show on this one as the dark-haired and sex-obsessed Harris.
Horrible Bosses 2 was directed by Sean Anders who also worked on films like We’re the Millers, That’s My Boy and She’s Out of My League.
Seth Gordon was the director of Horrible Bosses, due to scheduling conflict he could not contribute to this sequel.
Christoph Waltz and Chris Pine will give life to the bad guys in this new movie as a father and son duo of investors.
The first Horrible Bosses grossed over $210 million at the box office for a budget that was less than $40 million.
With such a strong profit margin, it’s no surprise that a part 2 was made. A rare occurrence in Hollywood, judging by the teaser trailer it seems that Horrible Bosses 2 will be better than its predecessor that lost some energy midway through after a very solid start.
Horrible Bosses 2 also appears to be less dark.
