Hoda Kotb is set to release a new book called “Where They Belong: The Best Decisions People Almost Never Made,” in which she shared incredible stories of people who find their bliss in surprising ways. In the new book, Kotb has also included a series of celebrity interviews.
Hoda Kotb will release a new book entitled Where They Belong: The Best Decisions People Almost Never Made in early 2016.
The host of NBC’s late morning show, Today with Kathie Lee and Hoda, topped the New York Times bestselling list in 2010 with an autobiography called Hoda: How I Survived War Zones, Bad Hair, Cancer, and Kathie Lee, where she opened up about being diagnosed with breast cancer in 2007, how her mother stepped in to be her life support and how her sister gave her unconditional love during the battle with the illness and a bitter divorce. The television personality revealed:
“It was way too big. I was also going through marital issues then, and I think when you have two big things going on in tandem, you don’t really have the energy to focus on one completely or the other completely, so you don’t really focus on either of them too much. It’s self…preservation; it’s all your body can take, or your mind can take in. In a weird way, God helps you balance it all out. You learn how to preserve yourself.”
Hoda Kotb is going a very different route with her new book; she will instead share inspirational stories of others. A synopsis of Kotb’s upcoming release reads:
“In this incredible collection of stories, Hoda Kotb reveals individuals who reached a critical point in their lives to suddenly find they’re being pulled in a completely new direction. By following their passions, their gut, and their heart, these people learned their life purpose was utterly unlike what they’d planned.”
Kotb shared the story of an investment banker, who decided to become a minister and preach the Word of God to the world. A businesswoman, who left her desk to be a chef and the high-powered PR exec, who decided to go save a community.
Additionally, Hoda Kotb’s new book will include interviews of Roma Downey, comedienne Margaret Cho, and boxer Laila Ali, who “have all pursued their passions to find fulfillment.”
The author concluded the preview of the book with the following uplifting sentence.
With examples of perseverance, self-reflection, and new attitudes on life, Where They Belong is a motivating and inspirational book at finding the right path for your personal journey.
