A fisherman catches a lost GoPro for his birthday and shares the video on YouTube hoping to find the owner, and instead, he got over two million views.
A British fisherman caught a lost GoPro while fishing at the Hamworthy near Poole in Dorset, England and shared it with millions of users.
Last week, Francis Darracott and his family decided to go fishing at Hamworthy for his birthday. He did not catch a fish for his special day, but got a GoPro durable camera instead, and yes, they are very durable.
Someone by the name of Daniel Rose shared the video on YouTube and explained that the camera was under water for over a year and yet the image was still crystal clear. The video showed a young woman getting ready to jump in the water along with a crab walking near the camera.
Rose shared a brief description of the footage and asked that the owner of the GoPro contact him so he can return it. Rose wrote:
“So this happened.. We decided to go fishing and with the first cast of the night my sisters fishing rod pulls up a GoPro camera! I have made this video public so that it can be shared around so that hopefully the SD card and camera can be returned to its rightful owner! The date of the original footage was 13/08/15 and it was found on 05/07/16. Found off lake pier, Hamworthy, Poole”
If you know the owner of the salt water-damaged camera, please contact Mr. Rose. As stated above, the clip has gone viral, and many are commenting on the giant crab, which is the real star of the video. One person said:
“this sh8t belongs on Discovery Channel… The secret life of crabs… Crab selfie!!! Omg you found Dory!!!”
Another stated:
“that crab looked like he was preaching. “excuse me red flashing thing, have you heard about our sea lord and savior?”
Mr. Rose returned to YouTube today to give a little update, and explained:
“Over 1 million views!!! Incredible. Thank you all so much for the overwhelming response. I hope that crab will still be around for an interview, if you know or have heard from him lately please get in touch.”
One concluded by saying:
“That crab was trying get a shoutout.”
