An Eric Bolling joke about Mariam Al Mansouri being “boobs on the ground” is blasted by some for being sexist and inaccurate. Bolling who might have been a writer for the The Onion made a joke about Mariam Al Mansouri, the first female pilot in the United Arab Emirates’ Air Force who took part in the airstrikes against ISIS in Iraq and Syria this week.
Eric Bolling’s joke about the United Arab Emirates’ first female pilot who bombed ISIS has many people cringing.
On Wednesday, the panel of Fox News Channel’s The Five was discussing Major Mariam Al Mansouri’s extraordinary accomplishment of being the very first woman pilot from the UAE military forces to take part in the United States-led airstrikes against ISIS.
Kimberly Guilfoyle opened the segment by praising Major Al Mansouri for being such a historical figure.
Al Mansouri who earned a bachelor’s degree in English literature in 2007 joined the Khalifa Aviation College the same year along with three other women Sara Hamad al Hajri and Latifah al Zidi (the name of the other woman was not revealed.)
Guilfoyle complained saying that she would have love to have an American female bomb the Islamic State of Iraq instead, but is still thrilled to see a woman accomplish such a task and be an example to other Arabian women who are often oppressed in their countries.
The co-host shared a joke saying that she hoped the bombs hurt ISIS fighters even more seeing that they were dropped by a lady.
That is, when Greg Gutfeld interjected with a senseless joke by asking was Major Mariam Al Mansouri able to park it after she bombed it?
Gutfeld’s silly remark was followed by a sexist and inaccurate joke courtesy of Eric Bolling who said:
“Would that be considered boobs on the ground or no?”
Gutfeld and Bob Beckel (who has become famous for his sexist and racist remarks over the past months) laughed at Eric Bolling’s joke.
But Guilfoyle tried to put Bolling in his place by asking why did he ruin such a positive moment?
Eric Bolling joke about Al Mansouri is not only inappropriate, but also inaccurate because the term boots on the ground obviously apply to soldiers not pilots.
Bolling who was blasted on social media and by FNC’s Greta Van Susteren, has apologized saying that when he got home, his wife gave him the look, he explained:
“I made a joke and when I got home, I got the look.I said sorry to my wife and I apologize to you all and want to make that very clear.”
However, Eric Bolling failed to apologize to Mariam Al Mansouri, 35, for his joke.
Should Bolling be laughing at a lady who is comfortable flying fighter jets like the F-16 or the Mirage and bomb ISIS?
