The comedian was not the only talk show host, who was inspired by Amal Clooney, née Alamuddin’s fashion sense. Meredith Vieira, George Stephanopoulos and his wife Alexandra Wentworth, Billy Bush and Kit Hoover all went with the same concept.
Ellen DeGeneres‘ Amal Clooney Halloween costume is a hit. The host of The Ellen DeGeneres Show has done Cher, Nicki Minaj, Sofia Vergara in the past, this year she opted for Amal Clooney née Alamuddin.
DeGeneres appeared on her show, earlier today, dressed as Amal Clooney. The comedian wore a gown inspired by the stunning off-shoulder Oscar de la Renta dress that Amal Clooney wore at her wedding in Venice, Italy on September 27.
Ellen DeGeneres also sported a veil and a dark wig to match Amal Clooney’s famous locks. DeGeneres’ Amal Clooney’s costume was completed with a life-size blow-up doll that had a George Clooney mask attached to its face.
The comedian even added a replica of George and Amal Clooney’s People magazine cover. Mrs Ellen DeGeneres told her audience members that she decided to dress up as the luckiest woman on this planet, she said:
“You can probably tell who I am. I’m Amal – the luckiest woman in the world, Mrs George Clooney. Say hi, George.”
Ellen who wed Portia de Rossi on August 16, 2008, continued with the following joke:
“I like Halloween because it’s the one time of year you can dress up however you want and pretend you’re someone you’d never be in real life.For me, that’s married to a man.”
Ellen DeGeneres went on to praise Mrs Clooney who is a barrister at Doughty Street Chambers, specializing in international law, criminal law and human rights. DeGeneres added:
“This might be my sexiest costume yet. Because what’s sexier than a woman with a brain?”
Meredith Vieira opted for Amal Clooney’s Stella McCartney pantsuit from her civil ceremony. George Stephanopoulos and wife Alexandra Wentworth, Billy Bush and Kit Hoover all picked the power couple as inspiration for their Halloween costumes.
But Ellen DeGeneres’ Amal Clooney and George Clooney won the competition.
