Following the brutal murder of teen Lesandro “Junior” Guzman-Feliz, the eight gang members who are the main suspects for the wrongful act are on their way to serving time in prison.
However, according to recent information, it seems that the suspected criminals might be getting considerably different treatment in jail in comparison to other prisoners.
Apparently, the eight gangbangers who allegedly killed the innocent teen in a case of mistaken identity have received threats on several occasions.
As a result, the criminals have been separated from the rest of the inmates. For the time being, some of the convicted wrongdoers are staying at Rikers Island while the others have been distributed in different prisons.
Because of the eventual risk to their lives, every time one of the eight gang members is being transferred, special security measures must be taken.
When each of them is being moved from one place to another, it happens under the supervision of several officers and a captain.
It remains unknown to which prisons precisely the suspects are being transferred to.
All of the eight criminals pleaded innocence when they were caught following the death of the 15-year-old Lesandro.
Two of them were detained while hiding in the Bronx and the rest of the alleged gangbangers were arrested on the grounds of a flophouse in New Jersey during a police raid.
The members of the gang attacked the innocent teen and stabbed him to death with machetes because, at the time, they reportedly took him for someone else.
A sex tape that appeared on Facebook reportedly started the whole thing. It featured a young girl having sex with a teen who looks like Lesandro.
A relative of the girl wanted to exact revenge on the person who leaked the clip. The girl’s father has apologized to the victim’s family.
The ninth suspect in the murder case, Diego Suero, 29, of the Bronx was arrested today.
