According to various sources, former NBA star Dennis Rodman will be making history alongside President Donald Trump and the North Korean leader Kim Jong-un, as he will also be attending their meeting taking place next week.
The controversial leaders are scheduled to face each other at 9 a.m. in Singapore on the 12th of June at the Capella Hotel on Sentosa Island.
The legendary basketball star, also nicknamed the Worm, will arrive on Singaporean grounds on the day before the meeting and will attend as a close friend of the Korean dictator with whom he has maintained a friendly relationship over the course of the last few years. Rodman will also be there to promote some of his business endeavors.
The athlete and Kim Jong-un met in 2013, while Rodman was visiting the country.
It is also expected that Rodman will even participate in the meetings in some fashion that will take place — his presence alone will raise the ratings of the event drastically, at least regarding media coverage.
A representative from Rodman’s side shared that for the time being, the NBA player has not got fixed traveling plans, but would definitely take the trip to Singapore if the world leaders request for his presence.
President Trump announced his decision to meet Kim Jong-un one week ago after he attended a formal discussion with a delegation of North Korean officials.
I am on my way to Singapore where we have a chance to achieve a truly wonderful result for North Korea and the World. It will certainly be an exciting day and I know that Kim Jong-un will work very hard to do something that has rarely been done before…

…Create peace and great prosperity for his land. I look forward to meeting him and have a feeling that this one-time opportunity will not be wasted!

The North Korean delegates came to personally deliver a letter from their leader to the U.S. president, and their meeting with Trump in the Oval Office lasted about two hours.
As a result, Trump commented that the discussion with the North Koreans took so long because they found the subject of nuclear power a fascinating topic to be discussed.
With the looming trade war with some allies, this administration is betting a lot on the meeting with the young dictator to save its foreign policy agenda.
