Debra Messing and Jeremy Piven are not going to be friends anytime soon after the actress slammed her Will & Grace guest star in an epic way. Messing claims Piven was an awful kisser, and he made their time working together quite unpleasant.
Debra Messing is not a huge fan of Jeremy Piven. The two actors worked together in an episode of Will & Grace titled “Love Plus One” in 2000.
Messing, 46, appeared on Bravo’s Watch What Happens Live Monday, and a caller asked the Smash star to reveal the names of her favorite and worst guest stars from the Will & Grace era.
The Mysteries of Laura actress was quick to name Harry Connick, Jr. as her best guest star. The American Idol judge played Leo Markus, Grace Adler’s husband, in 23 episodes of Will & Grace between 2002 and 2006.
Andy Cohen, the host of Watch What Happens Live, then suggested Bobby Cannavale as her worst co-star. Messing rapidly dismissed the idea, she said:
“Oh my god, are you kidding? No! We loved each other.”
The Emmy Award winner went on to reveal that working with Jeremy Piven was awful. The mother of one explained:
“You know who, at the time, I wasn’t a fan of? Jeremy Piven.”
So, what did Piven do to deserve such dubious honor? Messing shared:
“You know, I had to kiss a lot of boys on that show. And we were rehearsing, and the very first day of rehearsal, he shoved his tongue all the way down to my heart.”
From there, things got worse for The Starter Wife star and the Entourage actor. Messing added:
“I was just like, ‘Whoa!’ He goes, ‘Yeah, yeah.’ He was like, ‘That’s it, I’m in.’ I was like, ‘You know, this is comedy. We don’t really go that deep.’ And every time he went for it.”
Debra Messing’s comment regarding her experience working with Jeremy Piven has gone viral, and many are wondering if the actor will answer her in the future.
