It looks like Sen. Cory Booker might be trying to keep his relationship with Chanda Gibson on the down low, although the exact reason for his secrecy is not yet known.
The two have reportedly known each other for over 15 years after meeting through Booker’s campaign for mayor of Newark.
Gibson herself is not aware of the reason why her relationship is supposed to be kept a secret, and she has refused to comment on the situation despite questions in this direction.
It does seem like she is looking up to him and considers him a prominent figure in her life, although this does not really say much about the romantic aspect of their relationship.
This is not the first time Booker has been spotted in a relationship that he was not being very public with, as there have been various reports regarding him and other women.

His opponents have occasionally tried to take advantage of that fact by attempting to paint him as gay to discredit him, but so far this has not produced any negative results for Booker.

Booker has claimed to want to challenge people on their homophobic views, and in this light, he found it funny that he was being painted as gay out of all things.
The interest in Booker’s private life is directly linked to the fact that he might be running for president in 2020.
The New Jersey is seen by many as a real contender for the Democratic nomination and a potential challenger for President Donald Trump, who has already started attacking him during his campaign rallies for the midterms.
