Claire Coffee and son are at home and doing well, but she needs some sleep. Via Instagram, Claire Coffee shared the first picture of her son with husband, Chris Thile, and took the opportunity to promote the season finale of Grimm.
Claire Coffee and her son are fine and at home. On Friday, Claire Coffee famous for playing Adalind Schade on NBC’s Supernatural drama Grimm introduced her baby boy to the world.
In the picture, which was taken by the proud father Chris Thile, Coffee can be seen fast asleep next to her baby boy.
“GRIMM Season Finale! @christhile & I had a baby! I DON’T KNOW WHAT’S MORE INTENSE!!” Claire Coffee captioned the adorable photo. “JK, it’s definitely childbirth, but watch tonight anyway! #buryingthelead.”
Thile and Coffee, who welcomed their son earlier this month, have yet to pick a name. The reason is that they are unable to settle on something that is not too “cute.”
“We’ve been having trouble finding names that we both like that are acceptable with the last name of Thile because my husband doesn’t want it to be too cutesy,” she explained. Talking to Northwestern, Claire Coffee was asked to compare the experience of being pregnant in real life and on the show for Nick Burkhardt, aka Grimm.
“When I got pregnant in real life I told the writers and I told our creators before I even told my mom that I was pregnant because I know that I’d be pregnant for the entire season of the show. They were so supportive, but nowhere in my head did I think they would incorporate the pregnancy into the show. But they did, and they figured out a way to make it organic, and to make it cause great conflict for the characters and for my character,” she told the reporter. “The character finds she’s pregnant when I was about six months pregnant… Especially in these later months, it really helped that Adalind was pregnant so I didn’t have to continue chasing around in high heels. She’s in bed and couches for the last couple episodes.”
In the 5th season of Grimm, Claire Coffee’s character will be followed by the veterinarian who wants to kill her. She will also use the baby boy to get her daughter, Diana Schade-Renard, back.
