Christina Aguilera is back, but not everyone is happy. It has been announced that Aguilera will be returning to The Voice for season 8. And many are upset to learn that Gwen Stefani has been given the boot and Aguilera who is allegedly a diva is taking back her red chair.
Christina Aguilera who welcomed daughter, Summer Rain Rutler in August of 2014 with fiancé Matthew Rutler will be back on The Voice. Aguilera will be coaching the talents appearing on the reality series along with Adam Levine, Blake Shelton and “Happy” crooner Pharrell.
The colorful and energetic Aguilera was a mentor on the NBC reality series since it began in 2011. Christina Aguilera left The Voice for the sixth and seventh seasons and was respectively replaced by Shakira and Gwen Stefani.
The network issued a statement saying that they are happy that Aguilera is returning. It read:
“We are excited to welcome Christina back to her red chair and can’t wait to see how she mixes things up among Adam, Blake and Pharrell, in what will be an incredibly competitive competition.”
The big “Christina Aguilera Returns To The Voice” announcement was applauded by Xtina’s fans, but many viewers of the show were angry. And when you are angry, you take it to Twitter.
Several people said that they preferred Gwen Stefani, who is kind and authentic compared to Christina Aguilera, who often acts like a bitter diva. Others claimed that Aguilera should be given the boot from the series because she lacks chemistry with the rest of the mentors.
Few said that they do not like Aguilera because she dresses like a prostitute and they are tired of her massive cleavage. Many have threatened to stop watching the show if Stefani does not come back.
It was not all hate towards Aguilera, couple of moderates pointed to the fact that the “Make the World Move” singer brings good ratings and; therefore, she keeps the show alive.
One person was quick to ask, isn’t it wrong for a woman to go on maternity leave and when she comes back, she learns that she has been replaced?
Along with her return to The Voice, expect a new album from Christina Aguilera.
