The story of Chris Watts, also known as Christopher Watts, who is currently charged in a shocking murder case, continues to get more and more bizarre as the father now claims that he did indeed take his wife, Shan’ann Watts‘ life.
The change in direction in his confession was reportedly the result of a conversation Watts had with his father, after switching his position multiple times over the course of the investigation.
In the beginning, Watts completely denied having any knowledge of his family’s current whereabouts, only stating that he had been involved in a charged conversation with his wife before her disappearance.
Later on, evidence came out implicating Watts in an affair, which forced him to change his position and adopt a new story.

Now, Watts claims that while he was responsible for the death of his wife, he still had nothing to do with killing their children, Bella and Celeste, something he blames on his deceased wife.
According to his initial testimony, the reason for the huge argument between him and his wife was related to their possible separation, something which was a very heated topic for both of them.
He also initially denied having an affair but decided to admit to it after evidence came out that he could not refute.
At this point, it is likely that investigators will try to prove whether he is lying about the deaths of his children or not, although the situation is quite messy and it does not seem like they are going to have an easy job with that, especially given the emotional nature of the crime as a whole.
