Chris Brown added another controversy to his already impressive list. According to several reports, like his friend and rapper, Lil Wayne, Brown is allegedly addicted to sizzurp, and he has the dangerous cocktail with him even when he is spending time with his one-year-old daughter, Royalty.
Chris Brown adamantly denies the allegations that he is hooked on sizzurp, despite his friends saying otherwise, and several photos have surfaced showing him always sipping from a double cup. On Monday, people, who care for Brown contacted TMZ to share their concerns, (why talk to Brown directly when you can make few thousands for the story?), over the fact that he is addicted to sizzurp and may lose custody of his little girl, Royalty.
Sizzurp, which is also known as purple drank, has been made famous by artists like Lil Wayne, who overdosed on the drink, Justin Bieber, Soulja Boy, and Rick Ross. The dangerous cocktail is composed of prescription cough syrup, which contains codeine mixed with soda and Jolly Ranchers candy. What does it do?
The codeine, which is an opiate, produces a feeling of euphoria. The cough syrup also contains a drug called promethazine, which acts as a sedative. It can slow heartbeats, breathing, cause blurred vision, agitation and hallucinations. Y
The insiders, who spoke to TMZ pointed to countless photos of Brown on Instagram where he is either holding a double plastic cup or is sitting next to one. However, one snapshot and a video, in particular, are raising eyebrows, over the weekend, Brown uploaded a picture where he is at a pumpkin patch in Los Angeles with little Royalty, and there are two cups allegedly containing the drink next to him.
Few weeks ago, several videos of Brown at King‘s third birthday party, (the son of Kylie Jenner‘s boyfriend, Tyga), showed him with a man, who was carrying soda and cough syrup. The so-called pals told the website that Brown already has a rocky relationship with Royalty’s mom, and they believe she might use his addiction to either get more money or regain full custody. The insiders stated:
Chris’ friends and family are worried for several reasons. The problem has been getting worse over the last few weeks. They say he’s drinking sizzurp around Royalty and they’re worried he’ll lose custody.
A representative for Brown issued a statement saying that the sizzurp claims were “absurd and slanderous. To make the leap from Chris drinking from a cup at a party to Chris doing drugs in front of his daughter is… preposterous.”
When not getting in trouble, Brown is promoting his new album, Royalty, that will be released on November 27, 2015, and collaborating on sexy tracks with divas like Rita Ora and Tinashe.
