NARS has unveiled the first ad campaign, featuring Rampling for their Audacious Lipstick Collection that will include 40 sophisticated and sexy shades of lip colors retailing $32 each. Miss Rampling, 68, has been hand picked to be the face of NARS Cosmetics, which will be celebrating its 20th anniversary in the fall. The black and white portrait of the legendary actress was taken by NARS Founder and Creative Director François Nars himself.

French/Japanese cosmetics and skin care giant NARS Cosmetics, has debuted their new advert featuring British icon Rampling (well at this point she is more French because the majority of films she stars in, are produced in France and her French accent is very elegant).
The 68-year-old actress who is engaged to Jean-Noël Tassez is representing the Audacious Lipstick Collection that will come out in the fall.
The Audacious Lipstick Collection will include 40 shades of lipsticks from berry red, to lush pink to sensual nude.
Each lipstick will be priced at $32 and while 30 shades such as Lana Vivid orange red and Anna Smokey rose, will be available in stores worldwide, 10 special shades like Sandra Rosewoodw and Vanessa Mauve nude will only be found at Barney’s starting September 1st.
In the black and white photo that was shot by the founder of NARS Cosmetics François Nars, the Mascara actress looks amazing in a black suit and matching silk shirt.
The Young & Beautiful star finished her a la garçonne yet sexy look created by James Kaliardos, with an unspecified shade of lip color from the Audacious Lipstick Collection (we can assume that she is wearing a dark berry shade called Charlotte Oxblood burgundy).
Didier Malige perfected the mother-of-three’s pixie coif.
Nars who photographed the ad in New York, revealed that he was always a big fan of Rampling and was thrilled to finally work with her because her “ability to transform is unparalleled.”
The Fashion mogul went on to describe the movie legend as “a natural beauty that feels strong, yet relatable.”
Starting August 15th, Rampling’s NARS ad, will be featured in fashion magazines such as Vogue, Marie Claire, Harper’s Bazaar, Glamour and Elle.
While he had the option to go for a younger model, Mr Nars handpicked the Immortel actress to be the face of the brand that will be celebrating its 20th anniversary in September.
Working with legends seems to be a growing trend in the fashion industry.

Marc Jacobs who seems to be a fan of sexagenarians, has picked Jessica Lange, 64, as the spokesperson for the Marc Jacobs Beauty line.
In addition to her NARS’ gig, Rampling will be appearing in the BBC television series “Broadchurch” later this year.
